Michael Aka "Nacho" Benjamin Zuniga

Michael aka “Nacho” Benjamin Zuniga, 38, of Poplar Bluff, MO gained his heavenly wings Saturday, August 20, 2022.

Michael was born on August 7, 1984, to Benjamin and Kristin (Thurner) Zuniga in Harvey, Illinois. He married Michelle Dartello on December 13, 2019, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

Michael had a larger than life personality and brought light in to all the lives of those who surrounded him. He was always cracking jokes and making others laugh. He was a talented artist including tattoos. He was a BBQ professional and loved to share his delicious food. He was an honorable, loyal, and generous man, who would take the shirt off his back for anyone in need. His greatest joys in life were his family and close friends.

Michael is survived by the love of his life, Michelle; both parents, Benji and Kris; two daughters, LeeAnna (Josh) England and Sierra (Noah) Towns; two sons, Michael Zuniga, and Bryan Marshall; one sister, Carly (Alex) Garcia; four grandchildren, Lexi, Elizabeth, Noah, and Kaden; nephews, Caleb and Xander; niece, AriannaLee; honorary brothers, Justin Wartenbe and Aaron Collins.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2022, at 11:00am at Bluff First Church in Poplar Bluff with Pastors TJ Woodard and Max Southern officiating. Everyone please join us in celebrating Michael's life with good friends and BBQ.
