Wilma Pearl Ellis

Wilma Pearl Ellis, 88, of Poplar Bluff, died Sunday, Oct. 1, 2006 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Ellis was born May 13, 1918, in Poplar Bluff. She was a member of the New Covenant Church, in Poplar Bluff and a homemaker. Mrs. Ellis enjoyed working in her church and gardening.

Survivors include two stepchildren, Fred Ellis, of Poplar Bluff and Shirley Grogan, of Gonzales, Tex.; and six step-grandchildren.

On April 30, 1938, she married Virgil Ellis. He preceded her in death, in 1979.

A graveside service and burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Black Creek Cemetery, with the Rev. Jerry Moore officiating.
