William J Ward

William (Bill) Jesse Ward left this world to be with his bride Patty R Ward (Osborn) surrounded by his family on Tuesday, August 3, 2021.

Bill was born on August 28, 1942 in Poplar Bluff, MO.  The son of Gilbert Frank Ward and Belva Juanita Ward (Hodge) of Poplar Bluff.

He is a 1960 graduate of Poplar Bluff High School. He served in the United States Army from 1960-1963.

Bill’s hobbies included, storage shed treasures (Dollar Bill), sharing ‘dad jokes’ (the cornier the better), traveling the country, watching the St. Louis Cardinals, and most of all spending time with his family.

He was survived by his son, Scotty Ward; two daughters, Patricia JoAnn Kite (Terry), Janice Dawn Gibbons (Mike); Grandchildren, Cody Crocker (deceased) Shane Ward, Kaela Kite, Trevor Ward (deceased) and Sydney Ward; His siblings Freda Jean Wilkerson, Renda Mack Barker (Dennis), Frankie Lynn Moe and many loved nieces, nephews and special family friends.

The Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at West Side Church of God 2807 Channon Drive, Poplar Bluff, MO 63901 at 2:00 p.m.
