Wendell Everett Mcvay

Wendell Everett McVay, 87, of Poplar Bluff, died May 22, 2006 at the Mark Twain Caring Center in Poplar Bluff. Mr. McVay was a retired farmer. He was born May 27, 1918 in Carroll County, Indiana and was of the Southern Baptist faith. He enjoyed traveling and working with livestock.

On Dec 11, 1937 he was married to Thelma Baker and she preceded him in death in July 1997.

Surviving are 9 children, Lyle McVay of Poplar Bluff; Virginia Niman of Cherabusco, IN; Wayne McVay of Twelve Mile, IN; Anita Miller of Royal Center, IN; Darl McVay of Twelve Mile, IN; Marvin McVay of Twelve Mile, IN; Connie Davis of Edmonton, KY; Linda Gulley of Fairview Heights, IL; Roger McVay of Royal Center, IN; 34 grandchildren; 51 great grandchildren ; 3 great great grandchildren; 1 brother Owen McVay of Rochester, IN; and one sister Lois Scottney of Muncie, IN.

The family will have a memorial service at a later date in Grass Creek, Indiana.
