Wendell C. Andrews, 50, of Puxico, died Monday, July 2, 2007 at the University Hospital, in Columbia.
Mr. Andrews was born Nov. 17, 1956, in Albuquerque, NM. He was of the Christian faith and employed as a computer technician for JRW Enterprises. Mr. Andrews was a 19 year veteran of the United States Navy serving in Desert Storm and Gulf War. For his service he was awarded 4 good conduct medals, 2 Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals, 4 Navy Expert Pistol Shot Medals, 2 Meritorious Unit Commendations, 3 Navy ""E"" Ribbons, a Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, 2 Navy Expeditionary Medals and a National Defense Service Medal. Mr. Andrews was also a very active lifetime member of the V.F.W. Post 6477, in Poplar Bluff and the D.A.V. He enjoyed spending time with his family, studying astronomy and working with computers.
On July 16, 1988, he married Pamela Dunlap, in New London, Conn. She survives.
Other survivors include two children, Courtney Marie Andrews and Sean Claire Andrews, of Puxico.
