Wanda R Alford

Wanda R. Alford (Cain), 82 died February 14, 2024, in Festus. Wanda was born in Poplar Bluff, Mo on November 12, 1941, to her late parents Gilbert "Gib" & Verna Cain (Richmond).

She was a member of Second Baptist Church for 58 years. For 30 years, she worked diligently and faithfully in every role needed to continuously support the church, it's members and it's many ministries such as; the Bus Ministry, Daycare, School (Twin City Christian Academy) and Living Springs camp.

She loved thrifting and refinishing furniture and keeping her wit sharp by making others laugh. She was an amazing mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, wife, and best friend to many.

She was preceded in death by her late husband of 57 years, M. Gene Alford.

She is survived by her three children; Rick (Kari) Alford, Jerry (Julie) Alford and Patty (Rodney Kyle) Guay.

Her Grandchildren; Justin (Amber) Alford, Samantha (Aaron) Colwell, Ereca Alford, Cody Guay, Dylan (Ricki Jones) Guay.

Her Great-Grandchildren; Brendon Bova, Gabe Bova, Collin Alford, Julian Alford, Aiden Alford, Addison Alford, Reagan Collwell, Noah Colwell, Ellinore Colwell, Anja Colwell.

Scheduled for February 21, 2024, at Second Baptist Church in Festus, MO.  The family visitation will be 9:00 -10:00am. The Public visitation 10:00-11:00am. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 am.

The graveside burial service will be at the City Cemetery in Poplar Bluff, MO immediately following the Funeral.
