Von Lee Faries

Von Lee Faries, 83, of Perryville, MO passed away on August 31, 2023, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
Von was born on October 1, 1939, to William and Bernettie McGown Faries in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.  He married Virginia Lake on April 30th, 1962.
Von was the 7th of 12 children, he was an avid outdoorsman, he loved to hunt, fish, and bird watch. He loved to drive fast, drink strong coffee, and watch Fox News and Gunsmoke. He loved traveling and going on long drives on Sunday afternoons with his kids and spending quality time with his grandkids. He will be greatly missed by most of the friends and family that he knew.
Von is survived by 3 children; Tammy (John) Harper, Kathy (Curt) Erwin, and Richard (Teresa) Faries, 4 stepdaughters; Deana (Roy) Heise, Christina (Jim) Better, Emily (Steven) Criddle, and Mandy (Shawn) Retherford, 20 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 4 siblings; Muriel Sanders, James Faries, Kathy Foutch, and Vicki Weiss and a crap ton of nieces and nephews.
Von was preceded in death by his parents; William and Bernettie, his wife of 33 years; Virginia, and 8 siblings.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 5, 2023,  from 11:00-12:00 at Cotrell Willow Ridge Funeral & Cremation Services in Poplar Bluff, MO.
Funeral services will immediately follow at noon with Pastor Jack Faries officiating. Burial will take place at Kerns Chapel Cemetery.
