Virginia "Ruth" Six

Virginia Ruth "Ruthie" Six, 75, of Broseley, MO went to be with Jesus on Sunday, January 23, 2022.

Ruth was born on June 15, 1946, to Thomas Coy and Naomie Opal (Jones) Six in Stark City, Missouri.

Throughout her life, Ruth was a ball of energy and was charismatic. She was witty, sarcastic, and strong willed. She enjoyed working outside in flower beds, making potholders, coloring, and going to the clubhouse through family counseling. She also liked working at the workshop, watching westerns, Little House on the Prairie, and Andy Griffith.

Ruth is survived by two children, Sheila (Danny) Martin-Burnett of Risco, Missouri and Edward (Erin) Charles Martin of Fredericktown, Missouri; three grandchildren, Brittany (Dustin) Crane of Malden, Missouri, Courtney (Derek) Earnheart of Malden, Missouri, Nathan Burnett of Risco, Missouri; five great-grandchildren, Legaci, Lyncoln, and Legend Crane, Journee and Justice Earnheart; one sister, Esta Six Knight of Neosho, Missouri; other survivors include a host of friends at the Cedar Valley Boarding House in Broseley, Missouri; her caretaker, Ciera Mansfield whom Ruth considered a daughter, and her favorite caretaker, Jordan Findley.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Jessie, Claude, and Paul Six; three sisters, Alta Six Lemmons, Mary Six Shelley, and Nina Six Hilton.

Visitation will be held at Cotrell Willow Ridge Funeral & Cremation Services on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, from 2:00-3:00pm followed by Memorial Service beginning at 3:00pm with Byron Beck officiating. She will be buried next to her parents at their family cemetery, “Weems” Cemetery in Wanda, Missouri.

In lieu of flowers, the Weems Cemetery upkeep is made possible through contributions.
