Violet M. Cochran, 89, of Poplar Bluff, died Sunday, April 15, 2007 at her residence.
Mrs. Cochran was born Dec. 15, 1917, in Butler County. She was of the Protestant faith and a homemaker. Mrs. Cochran enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren, reading, music, playing bingo and traveling.
On Dec. 14, 1932, she married Russell W. Cochran. He preceded her in death on Jan. 24, 1997.
Survivors include two daughters, Sandra Tubb, of Poplar Bluff and Vicki Modazejewski, of Porter, Ind.; six sons, Sidney Cochran, Gordon Cochran Roger Cochran and Kelly Cochran, all of Poplar Bluff, Gregory Cochran, of White Bluff, Tenn., and Steven Harwell, of Golden Valley, Ariz.; 19 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel, with the Rev. James Huffman officiating. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery.
