Victor C. Nation, 91, of West Plains, formerly of Qulin, died Sunday, Aug. 27, 2006 at the Westview Nursing Center, in West Plains.
Mr. Nation was born Nov. 10, 1914, in Butler County to the late Earl and Lucy (Roark) Nation. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, in West Plains and a retired farmer. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandson.
In 1950, he married Esther Marie Thomas. She preceded him in death on Nov. 18, 1986. On Oct. 24, 1987, he married Wanda (Baker) Reeves. She survives.
Other survivors include his daughter, Vicki Wilkerson and husband Jim, of West Plains; one grandchild, Drew Wilkerson, of West Plains; three sisters, Sylvia Ellison, of Sacramento, Calif. Goldie Underwood, of Oregon and Rosetta Hoffmeyer, of St. Louis; and a brother, Earl Nation, of O'Fallon.
Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Wednesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the chapel, with the Rev. Richard Wright officiating. Burial will be at the Sparkman Cemetery, in Butler County.
