Vera Nadine Sheehy

Vera Sheehy, 91, left this world on Tuesday, July 31, 2007 at 8:40 a.m. to be with Jesus, her Lord and Savior. Vera was saved at an early age and lived her whole life for the Lord. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, of Poplar Bluff, Mo.

Vera was born Sept. 4, 1915, in Three Springs Community to Sam and Bertha Osborn. On April 21, 1933 she was married to Robert Lee Sheehy and to this union three children were born, Lois Montgomery, Bobby Sheehy and Betty Ketcherside. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert, her daughter, Lois and one grandson, Scott Montgomery.

Survivors include one son, Bobby Sheehy and one daughter, Betty Ketcherside, both of Poplar Bluff; one brother, Sonny Osborn and one sister, Verla Greer, both of Poplar Bluff; six grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. She leaves several nieces and nephews.

Vera enjoyed volunteering at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center as well as The First Baptist Church. She loved her family and friends.

Visitation will be from 9 - 10 a.m. Thursday morning at Cotrell Funeral Chapel with a graveside service following at Three Springs Cemetery. Rev. Bill Vail will be officiating.
