Treva Lue Larue

September 7, 1933 — May 3, 2021

Treva Lue LaRue, 87, of Pryor, Oklahoma went home to the Lord on Monday, May 03, 2021.

Treva was born on September 7, 1933 to Vincent and Lessie Scates in Success, Arkansas. She married Artis LaRue on January 6, 1951 in Alton, Illinois.

Treva was a very protective, loving, and caring woman. She befriended many and many are proud to call her their friend. She was of the Pentecostal faith. Treva's greatest joy in life was being a mother and grandmother. She protected her family zealously. There was nothing she would not do for them. She was a woman that was always there for her children and grandchildren, when no one else was. She gave love and help to all her loved ones. She would give her last bite of food or her last dollar if she thought you needed it. She endured a lot in her lifetime, but they never stopped her from putting the needs of the people she loved first. Treva strived to live a Christian life. She may have faltered more than once, but she always knew Jesus was her Savior and God was her creator.

Treva is survived by two daughters, Donna Cortese & Tanya LaRue both of Pryor, Oklahoma; one brother, Booth Scates of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Laurie McKinnon and Danny McKinnon of Pryor, Oklahoma, Jason McKinnon, Misty LaRue, Samantha Blackmon, Artis LaRue, Tomas LaRue of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Latisha Dwight of Inola, Oklahoma, Felisha Doolittle of Chelsea, Oklahoma, Miranda Nettrouer and Aaron LaRue of Arkansas City, Kansas, and Timothy Ellis of Newkirk, Oklahoma; great-grandchildren, Ciara, Zandyn, Amilya, Noah, Tawanna, Anthony, Daniel, Kristin, Danae, Jamie, Amanda, Justin, Sarah, Bradley, Anthony, Ashton, Aiden, Caitlin, Anistyn, Selena, Charlie, Amber, Landen, Madison, Adalyn, Aubrey, & Brent; great-great-grandchildren, Karissa, Gadge, Gabriel, Noah, Neveah, William, Sarah, & Jaxon; niece, Connie Scates & nephew, Tracy Scates.

As you can see, Treva’s legacy will live on through the many loved ones she left behind.
