Tresia Gail Stricklin Battles

Tresia Gail Stricklin Battles, 33, of Broseley, died Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2006 at her residence.

Ms. Battles was born July 28, 1973, in Poplar Bluff to the late Rayburn and Cassie (Bowen) Stricklin. She was of the Baptist faith and employed as a nursing home CNA. Ms. Battles enjoyed spending time with her family and singing.

Survivors include her daughter, Elisha Battles, of Poplar Bluff; three sisters, Janet Miller and husband Larry, of Piedmont, Becky Hampton and husband Jerry, of Fairdealing and Sheila Barnett and husband Charles, of Poplar Bluff; four brothers, Larry Stricklin and wife Barbara, Gary Stricklin and wife Tammy, Tim Stricklin and wife Lisa and Ricky Stricklin and wife Ellen, all of Poplar Bluff; a brother-in-law, Jerry Miller; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, two sisters Patricia Miller and Malinda Stricklin and a brother Bradford Stricklin, also preceded Ms. Battles in death.

Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Friday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Chapel. Burial will be at Cochran Cemetery, in Butler County.
