Tommy Eugene LaRue, 54, of Poplar Bluff died Monday, January 7, 2008 at his residence.
Mr. LaRue was born Oct. 29, 1953, in Acorn, Mo. He was of the Pentecostal faith, and was disabled. Mr. LaRue enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and when his health allowed fishing, hunting and fixing up his home.
On April 10, 1975, he married Metta Judith Hays, in Poplar Bluff. She survives.
Other survivors include three children, Misty Voegtlin and husband David, of Gulfport, Miss., Samantha LaRue and Artis Larue, both of Poplar Bluff; his mother, Treva (Scates) LaRue, of Poplar Bluff; two grandchildren, Kristin LaRue and Ciara LaRue; two sisters, Tanya LaRue, of Poplar Bluff and Donna LaRue, of Pryor, Okla.; and brother, Timmy LaRue, of Poplar Bluff.
His father, Artis LaRue and sister, Linda Lou LaRue preceded him in death.
Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Wednesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in the Chapel with the Rev. Richard Whitmer officiating. Burial will be at Black Creek Cemetery, in Butler County.
