Timothy "Bryan" Barker

Timothy "Bryan" Barker, 54, of Wappapello, MO, passed away on Thursday, September 08, 2022, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Bryan was born on October 13, 1967, to James and Evelyn "Deb" (Hawkins) Barker in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He married the love of his life, Tracy Schmidt on July 30, 2018, in Piedmont, Missouri.

Bryan worked for the City of Jonesboro for several years before starting his own business, NEA Asphalt. In 2019, he semi-retired and moved to Wappapello to enjoy fishing and the lake. He loved to play the drums and listen to music. Bryan liked to tinker in his shop and had been working on a Jeep for his son when he passed. He was talented at body work on vehicles and thoroughly enjoyed rebuilding and fixing them. Bryan was raised Baptist and loved the Lord. He loved to build, landscape, and garden. He had an appreciation for the land. You could not ask for a better husband, dad, son, or brother.

Bryan is survived by his wife; mother, Deb Barker; father, Jim (Darlene) Barker; two children, Jake, and Karli Barker; one granddaughter, Keelie Barker; brother, Scott Barker; three nieces, Meagan (Brandon) Walker, Faith (Blake) Grill, and Savanna Rakestraw; two nephews, Tyler Barker and Jake Rakestraw; great-niece, Brynlee Walker; great-nephew, Barrett Walker; In-laws, Thomas & Joyce Schmidt; sister-in-law, Stacy (Kyle) Rakestraw; along with numerous aunts, uncles, and other extended family members.

Bryan was preceded in death by his grandparents; stepfather, Bill Barker.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 12, 2022, from 6:00-8:00pm at Cotrell Willow Ridge Funeral & Cremation Services. Funeral will be held the following day, Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at 10:00am with Brother Steve Proctor officiating. Burial will take place at Wappapello (Kelly) Cemetery.
