Thomas Lewis Pruitt, II, 21, of Iona, Minn., formerly of Poplar Bluff died Sunday, July 15, 2007 near Lake Wilson, Minn. from injuries sustained in an auto accident.
Thomas was born Sept. 17, 1985, in Poplar Bluff. He lived and attended school in Poplar Bluff until the age of 10 when his family moved to Minn. Thomas was employed at Ferguson Construction, in Worthington, Minn. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his baby daughter, having fun with his friends, going to the lake, listening to music and his pit bull dogs.
Survivors include his daughter, Alanah O'Leary, of Slayton, Minn.; mother, Joyce Brenner, of Zimmerman, Minn.; father, Lewis Pruitt, of Poplar Bluff; sister, Brooke Dobbs and husband Nathan, of Poplar Bluff; a niece, Emalee Dobbs, of Poplar Bluff; a very special aunt, Elizabeth Pruitt Turcotte and husband Jason, of Virginia Beach, Va.; special friend, Michelle Swanson, of Iona, Minn.; maternal grandparents, Marietta Ward, of Springfield, and Bill Hall, of Poplar Bluff; paternal grandparents, Betty and Tom Pruitt, of Poplar Bluff; and maternal great-grandmother, Melda Prenzel, of Poplar Bluff.
Thomas was recently preceded in death by one of his closest buddies, his dog Dozer.
Services were held Wednesday at the Totzke Funeral Home, in Fulda Minn.
Visitation in Missouri will begin at 12 noon Saturday, July 21st at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. in the chapel, with Dr. William Vail officiating. Burial will be at Fairdealing Cemetery.
