Thomas Harold Kent

Thomas Harold Kent, 95, of Dalton, Georgia (previously of Poplar Bluff, Missouri) passed away Monday, August 14, 2023, at Hamilton Medical Center.

Tom was born on February 29, 1928, to Thomas and Hazel Kent in Puxico, Missouri.

Tom was a very active person and had no issue accomplishing any goals he set for himself. He enjoyed classic cars. At one time he was president of a local car club. Tom was a proud member of the United States Navy and served during WWII.

Tom is survived by his wife of seventy-three years, Barbara Kent; son, Mike (Joan) Kent of Shelby Township, Michigan; brother, Jimmie (Marge) Kent of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; three grandchildren, David, Amanda, and Stephanie Kent.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Hazel Kent.

A graveside memorial service will take place at 11:00am on Friday, November 10, 2023, at Woodlawn Cemetery in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Full military honors will be present at the service.
