Terry Gene Mizell Sr.

Terry Gene Mizell Sr., 69, of Poplar Bluff, MO, passed away Monday, March 27, 2023, at his home.

Terry was born on June 9, 1953, to Kenneth and Betty (Adams) Mizell in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. He married Patricia (Andrews) on June 26, 1981, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

Terry was a member of Bluff City Apostolic Worship Center. He was the owner of Frosty's Drive In for 20 years. He served on many community Boards over the years. Terry enjoyed good food, traveling, browsing flea markets, collecting, and "wheelin n dealin". His greatest joy in life was spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandkids.

Terry is survived by the love of his life, Patricia Mizell; two daughters, Andrea Vanessa Mizell of Poplar Bluff and Kimberly Dawn (Tony) Bruce of Hugo, Oklahoma; two sons, Terry Gene (Kimberly) Mizell Jr., and Michael Kenneth (Kayla) Mizell, both of Poplar Bluff; one brother, Mike (Cindy) Pelzer of Henderson, Nevada; two sisters, Glenda Holmes of Poplar Bluff and Christina (Steve) Baker of Coupeville, Washington; seven grandchildren, Kyra Mizell, Ashlynn Mizell, Ada Mizell, Brock Bruce, Jade (Conard) Holland, Shelby Cooper, and Dakota Cooper; three great-grandchildren, Damien Cooper, Desmond Cooper, and Dakota Cooper Jr.; Terry is also survived by Michael (Timara) Howton of Poplar Bluff, who he considered to be a son.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Gary Pelzer.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 31, 2023, from 6:00-8:00pm at Bluff City Apostolic Worship Center. Funeral service will be held the following day, Saturday, April 1, 2023, at 10:00am, also at the Church. Burial will take place at Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
