Terry A. Geter

Terry A. Geter, 43, of Poplar Bluff, died February 17, 2007 in Poplar Bluff. Mr. Geter was born October 26, 1963 in Belzoni, Mississippi to Earnest Earl and Lillian (Thornburg) Geter. He was Sales Manager for Teckpak-Fitzall in Poplar Bluff.

Mr. Geter was a member of Temple Baptist Church. He enoyed repairing and rebuilding cars, remodeling houses, being outdoors including traveling, camping and fishing.

On October 22, 2006 he married to Jessica (Kendrick) Ellsworth in Poplar Bluff and she survives. Also surviving is one daughter Emilee Geter and her mother Teresa Geter of Fisk; two stepchildren, Andrew Ellsworth and Emily Ellsworth both of Poplar Bluff; his mother, Lillian Geter of Poplar Bluff; two sisters, Terethia Nelson and husband Pete of Poplar Bluff; Julie Brown and husband Richard of Haughton, LA; one brother James Geter and wife Edna of Doniphan; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding Mr. Geter in death were his father, two brothers, Walter Geter and Thomas Geter and one sister, Jean Troutt.

Visitation will be at 6:00 p.m., Monday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Temple Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Patterson officiating and Rev. Jerry Martin assisting. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
