Tara Lee (Johnston) Hobbs-Carpenter

Tara Lee Hobbs, 64, of Poplar Bluff, MO passed away with family by her side on April 23, 2025, at her home in Poplar Bluff.
Tara was born on March 15, 1961, to Marvin and Connie (Bennett) Johnston in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.  She married James Carpenter in July of 1999.
Tara enjoyed cooking, gardening, and flowering, but especially spending time with her grandchildren. Tara was passionate about her job and the children at Poplar Bluff Early Childhood. She was a very caring person that never let anyone go hungry. She loved her family and hosting all holidays for many years. She will be dearly missed.
Tara is survived by her children, Lee (Sarah) Hobbs, Ashley (Eric) Arnold; grandchildren, Lauren, Maddie, Ava, and Bennett Hobbs, and Jackson Arnold; siblings, Scott (Angela) Johnston, Michelle Johnston, and Todd (Regina) Johnston; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Tara was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Connie, and her husband, James.
Memorial Gathering will be held on Monday, April 28, 2025, from 4-5pm at Cotrell Willow Ridge Funeral & Cremation Services in Poplar Bluff, MO. Memorial Service will immediately follow at 5:00 with Pastor Steve Patterson officiating.
