Stevie Mansfield

Stevie Mansfield, 77, of Poplar Bluff, MO, passed away Monday, May 20, 2024, at Westwood Hills Healthcare.

Stevie was born on March 28, 1947, to Claude and Louisia (Hefner) Mansfield in Piggott, Arkansas. He married Carolyn Louise Knox in 2001 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

Stevie enjoyed spending time outdoors, fishing, target practicing, or just hanging out. He liked to fix things and was a huge gear head, owning a small engine mechanic business for many years. Every year when the snakes started to come out, Stevie made sure to shoot as many as possible with his trusty black powder gun that could be heard a mile away! Stevie was always piddling with something outdoors or in the shop. It didn't take much to make him happy or content. His favorite meal was rotisserie chicken and baked beans.

Stevie is survived by five children, Richie (Juanita) Mansfield, Connie (Brian) Kingery Clawson, Dustin Kingery, Elaina Schlobohm, and Amber (Korey) Plemmons; six sisters, Jenny Stinson, Genevia Mansfield, Ellen Ellis, Shirley (Larry) Ort, Christine Lamp, and Sandy Seely; one brother, Charles (Diane) Mansfield; one granddaughter, Katherine Welker; along with numerous extended family and friends.

Stevie was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Carolyn Louise Mansfield; daughter, Teresa Mansfield; one brother, Chester Mansfield.
