Stella Louise (Burks) Cope

Stella Louise Cope, 69, of Poplar Bluff, MO passed away Sunday, August 08, 2021.

Stella was born on March 25, 1952 to James and Minnie (Anderson) Burks in St. Louis, Missouri.

Stella enjoyed fishing and traveling to new places. She loved to color, do arts and crafts, and sing gospel songs. Stella always had a smile to give to others. She was a true joy to be around.

Stella is survived by one daughter, May Lynn  of Pocahontas, Arkansas; one sister, Shirley (Leroy) Holme of Lynn, Arkansas; three brothers, Warren Burks of Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, Bobby (Patsy) Burks of Lynn, Arkansas, and Charles Burks of Walnut Ridge, Arkansas.

Stella was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Wilma Burks; three brothers, J.C. Burks, Mike Burks, and James Duckworth.

A graveside committal service will be held on Monday, August 16, 2021 beginning at 1:00pm at Kelley Cemetery near Imboden, Arkansas. Brother Keith Marlin will be officiating the service.
