Sonny L. Baker

Sonny Lavern Baker, 67, of Puxico, MO passed away Thursday, March 03, 2022, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

Sonny was born on November 30, 1954, to Levi A. Baker Jr. and Kathleen Fouts in Advance, Missouri.

Sonny was a member of the United States Army. When she moved back to the area, she participated in the SEMO Honor Guard. Sonny was a hardworking, independent woman who was always willing to help others. She enjoyed being around her two feline companions.

Sonny is survived by two brothers, Ron Baker and Daniel Baker, both of Pueblo, Colorado; three sisters, Connie Fisher and husband, Lawrence of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Earlene Jones of Beulah, Colorado, and Liz Vogel and husband, Jarrod of Pueblo, Colorado; six nephews, Daniel (Penny) Fisher, AJ Jones, Douglas Jones, James Dunn, Shawn Garcia, and Ryan Baker; three nieces, Donna Fisher, Kayla Baker, and Elitia (Jeff) Rouse.

Sonny was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial service with full military honors will be held on Monday, March 21, 2022, at 1:00PM at the Missouri State Veteran Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri.
