Shirley (Goldsmith) Eason

Shirley Eason, 83, of Poplar Bluff, MO passed away Friday, July 23, 2021, at Oakdale Care Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

Shirley was born on October 9, 1937, to Sammuel and Mamie Lou (Burdin) Goldsmith in Rector, Arkansas. She married Bobby Gene Eason on January 28, 1954, in Rector.

Shirley attended First Assembly of God for many years. She loved yard saling, getting coffee with her sister, and working in her garden with her flowers.

Shirley is survived by four children, Regina (Jesse) James, Tony (Wanda) Eason, Bobby Eason, and Tessie Anderson all of Poplar Bluff; one sister, Tessie Wells of Poplar Bluff; eleven grandchildren, Kellie (Bruce) Goodrich, Andrea (James) Reeves, Mellisa (Steven) Murdock, Tasha (Brian) Monaghan, Michael (Samantha) Jaco, Carrie Willmon, Destiny (Jeff) Boyer, Toni (Phillip) Engle, Alyssa (Benji) Montgomery, Preston Eason, Nicole Hathaway; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, John Allen Eason; one sister, Robbie Foos; and special companion of fourteen years, Cledus Gaultney.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 28, 2021, from 10:00am-12:00pm at Willow Ridge Funeral & Cremation Services. Funeral service will follow beginning at noon with officiating by Pastor Darrell Davis. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery in Pollard, Arkansas.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
