Sharon Kay Blue, daughter of the late Buron Fowler and Claudia Brown Fowler, was born on November 8, 1944, in Poplar Bluff Missouri, and departed this life surrounded by her family on October 21, 2024, at Westwood Hills Rehabilitation Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri at the age of 79.

Sharon retired from Butler County Health Department after serving the public for 24 ½ years. She attended Ash Hill General Baptist Church in Fisk, Missouri and was a resident of Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

Sharon enjoyed camping, spending time with family and friends, yard selling and going to flea markets. Sharon was loving, strong, caring, beautiful and one of a kind. She never wanted to miss going out to eat with her girlfriends or being at a sporting event for her grandchildren. Despite facing significant health challenges over the past few years, she fought bravely to remain with her loved ones. Now, she finds peace and joy in the presence of the Lord.

On May 23,1963, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri she was united in marriage to James (JR) Blue. Mr. Blue preceded her in death on August 2, 2000.

She is survived by her son, Kevin Blue and wife Jerri Ann of Paragould, Arkansas; daughter, Shelley West and husband Kevin, of Campbell, Missouri; by five grandchildren, Blake Blue of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Jerrad Blue and wife Allie of Broseley, Missouri, Kaylee Mitchell and husband Pierre of Seatle Washington, Ashley Robey of Dexter, Missouri and Klayton West and fiancé Chloey of Campbell, Missouri; by one step- grandchild Steven and wife Meghan Simmons of Paragould, Arkansas; by seven great- grandchildren, Brady Blue, Brody Blue, Lillian Blue, Finn Blue, Kai Mitchell, Ace Mitchell and Baylee Kate Robey; by two step- grandchildren Wyatt and Levi; one sister, Kathy Ham and husband Donnie, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri and by her very special friends, Anita McCroy, and Lometa Burnett.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jerry Fowler and by her sister, Joan Bulger.

Visitation will be held at Cotrell Willow Ridge Funeral & Cremation Services in Poplar Bluff, Missouri on Friday, October 25,2024, from noon-1:00pm.  Funeral services will immediately follow with Pastor Gary Hancock and Jared Hancock officiating. Interment will follow in the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
