Sandra R. Wells

Sandra Renee ""Sandy"" Wells, 47, of Poplar Bluff died Sunday, June 17, 2007 at her residence.

Ms. Wells, daughter of the late Clent Wilson and Alfreda J. (Flowers) Proffer, was born March 20, 1960, in Cape Girardeau. She was of the Baptist faith and until her illness had been employed as a lead operator for Titan Plastics. A devoted mother, Ms. Wells enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, flower arranging and working puzzles.

Survivors include daughter, Shontell Boyer and husband Michael, of Poplar Bluff; son, Joshua Proffer and wife Debbie, of Marble Hill; five grandchildren, Mikayla Ford, Courtney Carter, Kayli Proffer, Molly Boyer and Alexis Boyer; two sisters, Patty Gray, of Gun Barrel, Tex. and Vickie Proffer, of Cape Girardeau; and brother, Keith Proffer, of Puxico.

Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Chapel, with the Rev. Jim Hoyt officiating. Burial will be at the City Cemetery, in Poplar Bluff.
