Ruth Trower

Ruth E. Emde Trower, 87, of Poplar Bluff, died Tuesday, July 24, 2007 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Trower was born March 9, 1920, in Kirkwood, Mo., to the late Rudolph and Elizabeth (Thomas) Emde. She was of the Baptist faith, and had retired from Kirkwood Drug Store, in Kirkwood. Mrs. Trower was an avid St. Louis Cardinal Baseball fan.

In 1978, she married James W. Trower. He preceded her in death, in 1990.

Survivors include sister, Alice Redmond, of Poplar Bluff; brother, Carl G. Emde, of Poplar Bluff; and nephew, Russell Redmond, of Poplar Bluff.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Trower was preceded in death by her brother, Wilbur J. Emde.

A graveside service and burial will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Mt. Zion Cemetery, in Butler County with the Rev. Jim Schremp officiating.
