Ruth Riepe, 84, of Poplar Bluff, died Sunday, Jan. 28, 2007 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Riepe was born April 22, 1922, in Broseley. She was a member of the Poplar Bluff Pentecostal Church and a homemaker. Mrs. Riepe enjoyed her church, spending time with her family and making crafts.
On Aug. 13, 1949, she married Max Riepe, in Piggott, Ark. He preceded her in death on Jan. 9, 1976.
Survivors include her daughter, Linda Merritt, of Poplar Bluff; her son-in-law, David Merritt, of Poplar Bluff; a granddaughter, Dena Johnston and husband Todd, of Poplar Bluff; two great grandchildren, Marina Johnston and Rhianna Johnston, of Poplar Bluff; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Her parents, George and Ellen (Sanders) Cross, a sister, Nancy Sutt and five brothers, her twin Rufford Cross, William ""Buck"" Cross, Chester Cross, Grover Cross and Calvin Cross also preceded Mrs. Riepe in death.
Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral chapel, with the Rev. Linda Murray officiating. Burial will be at Brown Chapel Cemetery, in Broseley.
