Ruth Lucille Hardin

Ruth Lucille Hardin, 73, of Poplar Bluff, MO, passed away on December 21, 2024, at home.

Ruth was born on July 15, 1951, to Tom and Ruth (McCluskey) Hardin in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

Ruth was a gentle and loving soul; known for her deep compassion and quiet strength. She was a gifted pianist whose music brought comfort and joy to all who heard it. Her love for reading and books was boundless, and she cherished the escape and wisdom that literature provided throughout her life.

Ruth was fiercely loyal to her family and devoted much of her life to them. She worked diligently in the family business, supporting those around her with dedication and grace. Ruth was also a selfless caretaker, providing loving care to her parents and her Aunt Jewel Botkin during their later years.

Ruth was preceded by in death by her parents, Tom and Ruth; and her brother, Cecil Price.

Though Ruth’s presence will be profoundly missed, her legacy of love, loyalty, and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She leaves behind a family and community who will always remember her for the quiet strength she demonstrated and the beauty she brought into the world through her music and compassion.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Poplar Bluff Library.
