Ruby L. Niederstadt, 86, of Poplar Bluff, died Tuesday, July 25, 2006 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Niederstadt was born July 15, 1920, in Paul Switch, Ark. She attended Second Baptist Church, in Poplar Bluff and had retired from the Carron Spinners Co., in Rochelle, Ill. Mrs. Niederstadt was a former member of the Senior Citizens Gospel Choir. She was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family, quilting, embroidering and flower gardening.
On Jan. 20, 1940, she married Thomas Benton McCullough. He preceded her in death on Dec. 25, 1961. On April 18, 1993, she married Chester Niederstadt. He preceded her in death on Dec. 27, 1994.
Survivors include two daughters, Lorene Monahan, of Puxico and Molene Chaligoj, of Doniphan; a son, Thomas Lee McCullough, of Madison, Ill.; 9 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the chapel, with the Rev. Luther Abbott officiating. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the Pine Log Cemetery, in Brookland, Ark.
