Ruby M. Gallamore, 83, of Poplar Bluff died Thursday, Oct. 18, 2007 at her residence.
Mrs. Gallamore was born May 1, 1924, in Poplar Bluff to the late James R. and Flossie B. (Daley) Nelson. She was of the Baptist faith and a homemaker. Mrs. Gallamore enjoyed spending time with her family, going to church, listening to gospel music, fishing, quilting, cooking, traveling and most of all her beloved pet, Buffy.
On May 26, 1941, she married William L. Gallamore, in Broseley. He preceded her in death on Nov. 11, 2002.
Survivors include children, James Gallamore, Carolyn Malson, Ronald Gallamore, Phyllis Newton, Paul David Gallamore and Steve Gallamore, all of Poplar Bluff, Glenda Taylor, of Snoflake, Ariz. and Karen Schmid, of The Woodlands, Tex.; sisters, Helen Driskill, of St. Louis and Ruth Stroud, of Poplar Bluff; brothers, Henry Nelson and James Nelson, both of St. Louis; 28 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel with the Rev. Willis Smith officiating. Burial will be at the Old Oak Cemetery, in Butler County.
