Roy Marvin Garrison

Roy Marvin Garrison, 79, of Olathe Kans., formerly of Poplar Bluff, died Friday, Oct. 7, 2007 at his residence.

Mr. Garrison was born Feb. 24, 1928, in Poplar Bluff. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, in Olathe, and in 2006 had retired as the owner of R & G Rental, Inc. Mr. Garrison served as an officer in the United States Army, and was a member of the Missouri Veteran's Honor Guard. He enjoyed spending time with his family, and hunting and jogging.

He was married to Segunda Villahemosa, of the Philippines. She survives.

Other survivors include daughters, Juanda Petersen and Sandra Garrison, both of Olathe; son, Moses Garrison, of Olathe; and two grandchildren.

The visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Monday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Chapel with the Rev. Carl Garrett officiating. Burial with full military honors will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
