Ronald Rae Glidewell

Ronald Rae Glidewell, 73, of Poplar Bluff, MO passed away on January 09, 2024, at St. Francis Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

Ronald was born on November 25, 1950, to Kenneth and Ruby Glidewell in Sikeston, Missouri.

Ronald had a passion for people, and loved working with recovery groups which included, Crossroads Ministry, Christway Ministries, and Recycling Grace Ministries. He was the pitcher for Buddy Ball for 8 seasons. Ron spent many years as a coach in the parks and rec department, coaching basketball, baseball, and softball. He was an avid fisherman and loved spending time on the lake.  He is loved and will be missed by all his friends and family.

Ronald is survived by his father, Kenneth; his wife, Elizabeth; four children, Kim Fly (Brian), Tracie Brammlett (Steve), Josh Glidewell (Stephanie), Nikki Heuiser (Andrew); 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; two brothers, Kerry Glidewell and Randy Glidewell (Sarah); and five nieces and nephews.

Ronald was preceded in death by his mother; and one niece.

Memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2024, from 10:00-11:00am at Cotrell Willow Ridge Funeral & Cremation Services in Poplar Bluff, MO. Memorial service will be held immediately following with Rev. Alex Clark officiating.
