Roena L. (Hopkins) Reasons

Roena L. (Hopkins) Reasons, 75, of Dudley, Missouri, was welcomed into Heaven Sunday, April 2, 2023, at her home with her loving family at her side.

Roena was born August 18, 1947, in Poplar Bluff to Roy and Vela Juanita (Smith) Hopkins. She married Gerald (Lane) Reasons on November 27, 1966, in Dudley. Roena was a born again Christian and a long-time member of Palace of Praise in Poplar Bluff, where she served alongside her husband as an Elder.  During her earlier years Roena worked at insurance offices but she always considered her greatest accomplishment was as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved to read, shop, cook and travel but her greatest treasure was spending time with her family.

Roena is survived by her children, Nikki (Steve) Phillips  of Puxico, Amy (Richard) Yoebstl of Dudley and Josh (Hannah) Reasons of Poplar Bluff; six grandchildren, Matt (Dorthy) Phillips, Danielle (Aaron) Margrabe, Justin (Lindsey)  Yoebstl, Cole (Elisabeth) Yoebstl, Lily Reasons, and Lucas Reasons; seven great-grandchildren, Ryleigh, Winston, Warren, Walker, and Brantley Phillips and future great-grandchild baby Phillips, and Liam and Jaxon Margrabe; one nephew, Shawn Patterson; and sister in law, Karen (Eddie) Stephens.

Roena was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Gerald “Lane” Reasons.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm Thursday, April 6, 2023, at Cotrell Willow Ridge Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff.  An additional visitation will begin at 10 am on Friday, April 7th, in the chapel with the funeral service following at 11 am. Pastor Kent Miller will officiate. Burial will be at Puxico City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial; donations may be made to the Palace of Praise Kids and Youth Summer Camp
