Robert Leo Waggoner, 89, of Poplar Bluff died Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at The Cedargate, in Poplar Bluff.
Mr. Waggoner was born Oct. 5, 1918, in Risco. Mo. to the late H. J. and Ada (Trotter) Waggoner. He was a member of Southside Assembly of God Church and a retired truck driver. Mr. Waggoner was a veteran of the United States Army having served in World War II. He enjoyed working around the house, gardening and mowing the church lawn.
In 1943, he married Wilma Alexander. She preceded him in death in 2003.
Survivors include two daughters, Shirley Tipton and husband Jerry, of Caseyville, Ill. and Patricia Beasley, of Covington, Tenn.; a son, Robert G. Waggoner and wife Helen, of Springfield, Mo.; a step-daughter, Sandra Dodson and husband Marc, of Collinsville, Ill.; and ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Friday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Lemons officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery, in Poplar Bluff
