Richard Lloyd ""Dick"" Heidbreder, 68, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., formerly of Corning, Ark. died Friday, June 20, 2008 at his residence.
Mr. Heidbreder was born Feb. 15, 1940, in Sioux City, Iowa. He began his career in design and sale of monuments with the Clay County Monument Co. and later had retired as owner and operator of Corning Monument Co, in Corning, Ark. Mr. Heidbreder was a lifelong Razorback fan; and a skilled craftsman who loved working with wood.
Survivors include four children, Greta Wright and husband Bill, of Little Rock, Ark., Lee Sisson and husband Larry, of Germantown, Tenn., Stacy Johnson, of Poplar Bluff and Lanny Heidbreder and wife Brannan, of Jonesboro, Ark.; five grandchildren, John Lee Wright, Wesley Wright, William Sisson, Caroline Sisson and Ian Johnson; a sister, Janet Heidbreder Roeder and husband Don, of Piggott, Ark.; and a dear friend, Helen Heidbreder, of Poplar Bluff.
His parents, Lloyd H. and Dorothy (Russell) Heidbreder preceded him in death.
Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Sunday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the Chapel with the Rev. John Harwell officiating. Burial will be at New Hope Cemetery, in Pollard, Ark.
