Richard Lee Clay, 61, of Waterloo, Iowa, formerly of Poplar Bluff died Friday, Aug. 17, 2007 at the Covenant Medical Center, in Waterloo.
Mr. Clay was born April 12, 1946, in Poplar Bluff. He was of the Pentecostal faith. Mr. Clay was a retired truck driver and veteran of the United States Army. He enjoyed playing cards.
Survivors include five children, Tina Louise Sprague, Patricia Lynn Ward and Jody Lourance, all of Poplar Bluff, Shawna Clay, of Fla., and Jason Clay, of Wisc.; several grandchildren; three sisters, Irma Englerth, Mary Bunn and husband Garry and Edna Tucker and husband Mike, all of Poplar Bluff; three brothers, Elmer DeWayne Stucker, Tim Stucker and wife Melissa, all of Poplar Bluff and Jesse Stucker and wife Pat, of Dade City, Fla.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
His mother and stepfather, Rosetta (Gower) and Elmer Stucker preceded Mr. Clay in death.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in the chapel with the Rev. John Vaughn officiating. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, in Poplar Bluff.
