Richard Allen Baker

Richard Allen Baker, 84, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri passed away Monday, December 21, 2020 at Westwood Hills Health & Rehabilitation in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

Richard was born on January 12, 1936 to Dorance and Anna Baker in Beulah, Colorado.  He married Barbara L (Johnson) on August 14, 1955 in Pueblo, Colorado.

Richard was a longtime member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Pueblo, Colorado. He served in the United States Navy Reserve and was also a booster of American Legion Post #153 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Richard also enjoyed hunting and being outdoors. His favorite pastime was spending time with his beloved grandchildren.

Richard is survived by three daughters, Lorey (David, Sr.) Gholson of Poplar Bluff, Linda J. Wright of Levelland, Texas, & Cynthia P. (Michael) Cannon of Oak Harbor, Washington; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Richard was preceded by his parents, Dorance & Anna; wife, Barbara Baker; three brothers, James Baker, John Baker, & Glenn Baker.
