Rex William Cowley

Rex William Cowley, 80, of Poplar Bluff, MO passed away Monday, January 31, 2022.

Rex was born on June 1, 1941, to William “Bill” and Mary Ellen (Downing) Cowley in Moline, Illinois. He married Judith (Swanson) Cowley on November 04, 1972, in Andover, Illinois.

Rex was a proud livestock farmer for most of his life. He was a Chicago Bears & Cubs fan. He enjoyed woodworking and reading western books. He liked going to tractor shows. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his family, especially his grandson Zak.

Rex is survived by two sons, Jon (Joann) Cowley of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, and Jeff (Vicki) Cowley of St. Charles, Missouri; two sisters, Barbara (Brad) Norton of Orion, Illinois and Marlowe Cowley of Galesburg, Illinois; and one grandson, Zak Cowley.

Rex was preceded by his parents; and wife of 46 years, Judith.
