Raymond C Blunt

Raymond Blunt, 93, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri Passed away Monday, May 17, 2021 at Westwood Hills Health & Rehab Center.

Mr. Blunt was born January 22nd, 1928 to Henry Blunt and Violet Rose (Summers) in Dudley, Missouri. He married the love of his life Betty (Johnson) on December 17, 1949.

Raymond was an avid reader of westerns. When not reading westerns, he enjoyed watching them on TV. When Raymond was younger, he loved being outdoors; fishing, hunting, and gardening with his wife were a few of his many joys. Mr. Blunt also enjoyed spending time with his family.

Raymond is Survived by two sisters, Pat Clubb of Puxico, Missouri, Nancy Kalmbach of Michigan; three children, Larry Raymond Blunt of St. Louis, Missouri, Pam (Mike) Dorn of Barnhart, Missouri, Patricia (Spencer) Shain of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; seven grandchildren, William Blunt of Las Vegas, Nevada, Becky (James) Clayton of Joplin, Missouri, Amy (Tom) Spivey of Imperial, Missouri, Sarah (Michael) Farris of Arnold, Missouri, Ryan Dorn of Imperial, Missouri, Joe Uhl of Clever, Missouri, Katelyn (Josh) Ligons of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; eleven great-grandchildren, Jack Clayton, Lilly Clayton, Claire Spivey, Kate Spivey, Emily Spivey, Will Farris, Sam Farris, Presley Smith, Elijah Smith, Nash Ligons, Hattie Ligons.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, several brothers and sisters, his wife Betty of 62 years, and his granddaughter Kimberly Uhl.

Visitation will take place on Friday, May 21, 2021 from 11:00am-12:00pm at Willow Ridge Funeral & Cremation Services, followed by funeral service beginning at 12:00pm with Ben Higgins officiating. Burial will take place at Sadler Chapel Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri.
