Ralph Edward McNab, 58, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., originally from St. Louis and one-time resident of Abingdon, Virginia and Pensacola, Fla., died suddenly and unexpectedly Thursday, July 27, 2006 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Mr. McNab was born Aug. 23, 1947, in St. Louis. He was a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University, in Cape Girardeau with a B.S. in Education. Mr. McNab was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, in Poplar Bluff and a Material Planner for Nordyn Industries, of Poplar Bluff. He was a Sunday School Teacher and Church Elder, a Director for the Youth Soccer Association, Vice President of Grace Lutheran Church, in Pensacola and a camcorder connesiouer. He enjoyed spending time with his family and loved to play Crazy Eights and ticklebug with his granddaughters. He was also fond of animals and often walked cats across the street so cars wouldn't run over them.

On Aug. 24, 1968, he married Darlene Lewis, in Ellisville, Mo. She survives.

Other survivors include two children, Todd Allan McNab, of Naperville, Ill. and Amy Catherine McNab, of Poplar Bluff; and two granddaughters, Madelyn Kate and Kayla Bryn McNab.

Visitation will be from 5 - 6 p.m. Sunday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, in Poplar Bluff. A visitation will begin at 12 noon Monday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 955 Hwy 109, in St. Louis. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. in the church chapel with the Pastor Marty Reed officiating. Burial will be at St. John's Cemetery, in St. Louis.
