Rachel Lucile Johnson

Rachel Lucile Johnson, 94, of Poplar Bluff, died June 1, 2007 at the Oakdale Care Center. Mrs. Johnson was born May 21, 1913 in Piggott, Ark. She was retired as an office worker at the Chrysler Plant. A member of the First Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff, she sang in the Ladies Choir.

On May 14, 1931 she was married to William Ira Johnson in Pollard Ark. He preceded her in death.

Surviving are a niece, Susan Gale Snider of Memphis; a cousin Dr. Gerald Johnson of Nashville, and a longtime friend and caregiver, Maxine Hendrickson of Poplar Bluff.

Visitation will be at 9:00 a.m. Monday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel with a Graveside service following at 10:00 a.m. Monday at the City Cemetery with Dr. William Vail officiating.

The family requests memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, 551 No. Westwood Blvd., Poplar Bluff, Mo.
