Percy Lee Kiefer

Percy Lee Kiefer, 89, of Poplar Bluff, MO, passed away Tuesday, September 06, 2022, at his home.

Percy was born on April 22, 1933, to Ben and Mamie (Lewis) Kiefer in Alicia, Arkansas. He married Peggy Lou Green on June 6, 1951, in Paragould, Arkansas.

Percy liked spending time outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, yard work, and squirrel hunting. He was a simple a man who enjoyed spending time with his family.

Percy is survived by one daughter, Doris (James) Hastings; three sons, Danny (Valerie) Kiefer, Dennis (Diane) Kiefer, and David (Jane) Kiefer; one brother, Roscoe Kiefer; ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Percy was preceded by his parents; wife; one daughter, Jeannie McDowell; two great-grandchildren, Hayden and Jack Kiefer.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 14, 2022, from 10:00-11:00am at Cotrell Willow Ridge Funeral & Cremation Services. Funeral service will follow beginning at 11. Percy will be laid to rest next to his wife in the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
