Peggy Lou (Green) Kiefer

Peggy Lou Kiefer, 88, of Poplar Bluff, MO passed away Thursday, July 15, 2021, at Westwood Hills Care Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

Peggy was born on April 29, 1933, to Buford and Audrey Green in Alamo, Tennessee.  She married Percy Kiefer on June 6, 1951, in Paragould, Arkansas.

Peggy enjoyed fishing, visiting the casinos in Tunica, playing bingo, completing word searches and crossword puzzles. She truly enjoyed families gathering around special occasions and holidays.

Peggy is survived by her husband, Percy Kiefer; one daughter, Doris (James) Hastings; three sons, Danny (Valerie) Kiefer, Dennis (Diane) Kiefer, and David (Jane) Kiefer; ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Peggy was preceded by her parents; one daughter, Jeannie McDowell; one brother and two sisters.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 19, 2021, from 12:00-1:00pm at Willow Ridge Funeral & Cremation Services, followed by funeral service beginning at 1:00pm with Pastor Jim Schremp officiating. Burial will take place at Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital.
