Pearl (Greer) Parkin, 92, of Poplar Bluff died Saturday, July 5, 2008 at The Manor, in Poplar Bluff.
Mrs. Parkin was born May 30, 1916, in Carterville, Ill. She was a member of First Baptist Church; was a member of Oak Grove Homemakers Club; and was a homemaker. Mrs. Parkin enjoyed creating ceramic pieces, sewing, quilting, gardening and working in her yard.
On March 9, 1935, she married Earl Wallace Parkin, in Doniphan, Mo. He preceded her in death on Feb. 16, 2005.
Survivors include her daughter, Lee Buerge and her husband Rich, of Aspen, Colo.; two sons, Gary Earl Parkin and Donnie Parkin and his wife Susan, all of Poplar Bluff; a daughter-in-law, Shirley Parkin, of Poplar Bluff; and 10 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great- grandchildren.
Her parents, George and Nettie (Barnett) Greer and son Jerry Lynn Parkin also preceded her in death.
