Pauline L. Shackleford

Pauline Louise Shackleford, 87, of Poplar Bluff, died Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2006 at the Sikeston Care Center, in Sikeston.

Mrs. Shackleford was born Feb. 18, 1919, in Birmingham, Ala. She was of the Baptist faith and a homemaker. Mrs. Shackleford enjoyed reading her Bible, playing the piano, gardening and crocheting.

On Oct. 17, 1945, she married Walter Shackleford. He preceded her in death in April of 1993.

She had 7 children, Annetta Kinworthy, of Waynesville, Delores McCrum, of Kingston, Tenn., Benny Shackleford, of Paducah, Ky., Rose Young, of Dexter, Charlotte Phillips, Dianne Billington and Tommy Shackleford, of Poplar Bluff; 17 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Friday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel. The funeral service will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the Chapel, with the Rev. Bob Healy officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery, in Poplar Bluff.
