Paul D. Morgan, 65, of Wappapello, died Sunday, Oct. 21, 2007 at the Southeast Missouri Hospital, in Cape Girardeau.
Mr. Morgan was born March 16, 1942, in Gideon and raised in the Web Settlement. He had retired from General Motors Corp., in St. Louis and was a member of the Union for Automobile Workers Local No. 25. Mr. Morgan enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, gardening and making pickles.
On Aug. 5, 1960, he married Carolyn Gallamore, in Poplar Bluff. She survives.
Other survivors include children, Paula Massey and husband Charles, Karen Schaeffer and husband Jerry and Michael Morgan and wife Wendy, all of Cedar Hill and Wendall Morgan and fiance Melissa Porter, of Wappapello; sisters, Ester Fraiser and Susan Gallamore, both of Wappapello, Alice Twitchell, of Franklin, Mo. and Margaret Brawley, of Van Buren; brother, Vance Morgan, of Poplar Bluff; and 19 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
His parents, Thomas and Ida (Gray) Morgan, sisters, Irene Baxter and Betty Morgan (who died in infancy), brothers, Odis Morgan, J. T. Morgan and Thomas Morgan, Jr. and an infant great-grandson, Kevin Massey, preceded Mr. Morgan in death.
Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Wappapello Cotrell Funeral Chapel. The funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Wappapello Chapel with the Rev. Jim Morgan officiating. Burial will be at the City Cemetery, in Poplar Bluff.
