Patty A. Beaty, 72, of Poplar Bluff died Tuesday, July 17, 2007 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Beaty was born Nov. 13, 1934, in Hillard, Mo., and had retired from Wal-Mart. She was a member of the First Church of God where she had served as past president of the WCG, past Sunday School teacher and past member of the Board of Christian Education. Mrs. Beaty was presently attending the First General Baptist Church. She was also an active member of the Red Hat Society. Mrs. Beaty enjoyed spending time with her family, scrap-booking, making crafts, sewing and gardening.
On Nov. 22, 1963, she married Chester L. Beaty, in Poplar Bluff. He survives.
Other survivors include three daughters, Becky Beaty and fiance Ken Shunk, of Springfield, Diana Turner and husband Bill, of Poplar Bluff and Lisa Beaty and companion Lee Tyree, of St. Paul, Minn.; a son, Wayne Blackwell, of Poplar Bluff; two grandchildren, Autumn Tipton, of Springfield and Nicole Price, of Grand Falls, North Dakota; one great-grandson, Joshua Price, of Grand Falls, North Dakota; her brother, Howard Spencer and wife Linda, of Poplar Bluff and a sister-in-law, Brenda Spencer, of Doniphan.
Her parents, Floyd and Mildred (Sheehy) Spencer and brother Dale Spencer preceded Mrs. Beaty in death.
Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Thursday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the chapel with the Rev. Richard Triplett and the Rev. Bob Case officiating. Burial will be at the City Cemetery, in Poplar Bluff.
