Patrick M. Essary

Patrick ‘Pat’ M. Essary, 83, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, completed his earthly journey Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Pat was born to Raymond Otis and Mary Christine (Clark) Essary, November 3, 1939, in Poplar Bluff. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and lifetime member of Knights of Columbus. Pat worked as manager for Ferrell Propane Company for 34 years and has been retired for 24 years.  He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and new great-grandson, all of whom he was very proud of.

On June 30, 1962, Pat married the love of his life Shirley Jean Thomas.

Survivors include Shirley his wife of  60 years; two children, Jeff (Shellee) Essary of Kennett, Missouri, Cindy (Drew) Cook of Cordova, Tennessee;  four grandchildren, Chandler (Nick) Werr, Camryn Essary of  Jonesboro, Arkansas, Abby Cook of Cordova, Tennessee and Drake Cook of  Jonesboro, Arkansas; one great grandchild John Patrick Werr; and siblings, Laura Essary Hinchey of Little Rock, Arkansas, Joe Essary (Allyne) of Canton, Georgia, and Mike Essary of Poplar Bluff; as well as many nieces and nephews that all have funny memories and stories of Pat.

Pat was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Claire Provaznik, Mary Bilotti, Clyde Essary, Rita Gardner, Jimmy Essary, and Phyllis Bush.

There will be no services at this time.
