Patricia R. Owen

Patricia Ruth Owen, 63, of Poplar Bluff, died Thursday, Jan. 25, 2007 at the Barnes Jewish Hospital, in St. Louis as the result of a pedestrian/auto accident.

Mrs. Owen was born June 30, 1943, in Parma. Mo. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and a Supervisor for the Missouri Division of Family Services. Mrs. Owen enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren, reading, quilting, traveling and eating out.

On Aug. 30, 1992, she married Ralph Owen, in Poplar Bluff. He survives.

Other survivors include her daughter, Dana Sherrill, of Barnhart; three step-daughters, Angela Brinson, of Ellsinore, and Diana Fitts and Karen Miller, both of Poplar Bluff; one grandchild, six step-grandchildren; a sister, Nancy Stokes, of Malden; and a brother, Silas Crain, of Naples, Fla.

Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Sunday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the funeral chapel, with the Rev. Kurt Schuermann officiating. Burial will be at the City Cemetery, in Poplar Bluff.
